# Markets Hit Fresh All-Time Highs
The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all closed at record highs today. Technology and AI-related shares led the rally, with the S&P 500 extending its winning streak to nine consecutive sessions.
Breadth was solid. Advancers outpaced decliners roughly 3:1 on the NYSE. Volume was above average.
The key question: how much further can this go without a pullback? Nine-session winning streaks are rare. They typically resolve with either a sharp correction or a slow consolidation.
Watch the 5-day moving average on $SPY. That is the trend-following level in a momentum-driven market. A close below it signals the streak is over.
Oil prices are the wildcard. Iranian officials threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz today. If that escalates, energy prices spike and the risk calculus changes.
For now, the path of least resistance is higher. But nine straight days of green makes risk management more important, not less.
